Welcome to My Creative World — Discover the Story, Philosophy and Person Behind the Design
Born in Romania as one of eleven children, creativity and individuality were part of my world from an early age. I first studied music, including piano and classical guitar, before my path naturally moved towards architecture and design. The principles of music, rhythm, balance, proportion and harmony, have continued to influence the way I approach interiors. My journey later took me to England, where I married and completed my studies in Interior Architecture and Interior Design. Today, I live in New Zealand with my husband and our six children, working independently in interior design while also collaborating with other design companies on selected projects. Over the years, I have worked across residential, commercial, cabinetry and furniture design, completing projects locally, internationally and remotely. I have also expanded my knowledge through further studies in Tropical Architecture and Green Design in Bali. My approach is shaped by different cultures, family life, architecture and creativity, combining technical knowledge, functionality and individuality to create spaces that feel personal, considered and timeless!
About My Work
From cabinetry design and colour consultancy to full residential interiors, cafés, restaurants and Airbnb projects, my work has covered a wide range of spaces, scales and design challenges.
Some of my most rewarding projects have been completed entirely remotely, including cafés, restaurants and residential homes in different parts of the world.
These projects became a true test of flexibility, accuracy and communication, meeting clients through Zoom, coordinating by phone and email, and managing the design process successfully from a distance.
My local projects, whether large or small, have been equally meaningful. Working with clients from different cultures, beliefs and backgrounds has continually expanded the way I think about design. Building my career in New Zealand has also meant adapting to a new country, culture and design environment, all while working in a second language and raising the children.
Every project has strengthened my belief that good design is not only about aesthetics, but also about understanding people, adapting, communicating clearly and finding the right solution for each individual space, person, family, business and institution!
